I was thinking a good way to keep people up to date and as another way to communicate with the members/would be members is to create a monthly zine sort of like a mini xpress or something. A small charge which would be discounted for members, with the option of us posting them out or possibl making them available at ryans shop or blues.
Content wise im thinking have a few articles talking about new things happening in the club, member submitted articles, cd and concert reviews and possibly even a couple of articles on theory or lessons.
Its a fair bit of work but it could be pretty cool if we got it cranking
what you guys think?

Are we talking like a little black and white paper newsletter thingy or a coloured spread? Where do you plan for this to be created and printed, etc? I would be happy to submit things and buy it, so I am in!

I'd be happy to help out. Creative writing is my thing, and I know my way around Microsoft Office pretty darn well, so if I can help let me know.

MS Office rocks! Average is the new awesome, so how can you deny it's average awesomeness? Or in other words, I'm in. Though I wouldn't mind knifing Jeff in the back and taking over his column in the Mercury. I did that sort of thing in Carnarvon (writing, not knifing ).

Publisher is the new word for 'pointless' and powerpoint is a synonym for 'lame'. I like to rock Textedit/Notepad. Yo!

I'm actually pretty clueless on Publisher. Mostly I've found Word and Excel can do everything I need or want, and I know my way around PowerPoint pretty well when necessary. Haven't touched it in years though so I'm a bit rusty.
