Nat: How could you mention such illegal activity on a public forum? You know I buy all my cds!!! And what is wrong with metal written for wrestling soundtracks??? I learnt Type O Negative's Kane's Theme the other day on guitar - the Mop was so proud. Admittedly that was from the WWE, not WWF, but I didn't know there was a difference between them.
So that I don't stay off topic, I have another Best Album Of 2006: "Vulcanus" by the mighty Fear My Thoughts.
Metal!
Germany!
[glow=red,2,300]German Metal!!![/glow] With bonus video clip of band members releasing flatulence into each other's faces unexpectedly. THIS is why I love metal!!!

Heres my top ten that i made last year. Nat has already seen it. Once again they are not all 2006 releases.
1.) Cannibal Corpse-Kill(2006): My Suprise shredder of the year! Who would have thought?
2.) Merzbow-Sphere(2005): Compelling, addictive, mind warping torture by force of sound.
3.) Boris-Pink(2006): Amazing band, and also my latest crush(only on the music you sickos) A different genre every album.
4.) The Shins-Wincing The Night Away(2007): James Mercer is a "bloody legend" lol.
5.) Cult Of Luna-Somewhere Along The Highway(2006): An epic, more Explosions In The Sky style approach.
6.) Yakuza-Samsara(2006): Mastodon meets The Mars Volta! Hell yeah. Cool new band indeed
7.) Red Sparrowes(2006): The best post-rock album of 2006? Yep.
8.) Nasum-Shift(2005): Awesome blasting and catchy grindcore that keeps your interest. Cool.
9.) Aprimus Pyle-The Black Shroud e.p(2006): Great new grind/hardcore/doom band. Only $10!
10.) Dragonforce-Inhuman Rampage(2006): Well performed, and fast as hell power metal with added cheese.
Yeah thats right. The Black Parade was decent too.

Nat, Yes, I was a little off half the songs on Imago. It was akin (but less disturbing) to buying Billy Corgan's "Future Embrace" album in 05, hoping for the new Adore, and being very disappointed. But I still like half the songs on there, so compared to some of the other crap I bought last year, it was an unfortunate highlight. I now know how Silverchair fans must have felt a few years ago. I forgot to mention that I didn't really put mine in order, I just kinda kept listing them. But 10,000 days is still on top. What an album! I really must try to find this Isis band you keep pimping, Nat. Future Embrace has had very average reviews from just about every magazine and site everywhere. I'm not keen to hear it. Zwan is nothing grand in my opinion. No wonder he wanted to reform Pumpkins. Silverchair aka Nirvana in pajamas, need to rock out more these days. Like Frogstomp did. 10,000 Days is ok. Isis are fantastic! Nat is correct.
